Support for difficult situations

A family crisis, an unexpected loss of income, a health concern, or an unsafe situation can make it difficult to know what to do next. You do not have to have everything figured out before asking for help.

The Mustard Seed Mission (MSM) has supported children and families in Taiwan since 1952. If you are facing a difficult situation, our team can review your needs and help identify appropriate next steps.

One family's experience

A way forward, one step at a time

One mother contacted MSM while caring for a child with ongoing health needs and trying to rebuild after an unsafe family situation. Her own health concerns and repeated difficulties finding work had made daily life increasingly uncertain.

MSM's social workers first helped address her immediate financial pressure. She later joined a supportive kitchen-based training placement, where she developed practical food-preparation skills while working around her caregiving responsibilities.

With time, a steadier income, and a team willing to listen and teach, she began rebuilding a more stable routine for herself and her child.
