Lillian R. Dickson's Quotes

“ These deeds are like lovely wild flowers blooming on the mountain, unnoticed and unknown, but still lovely!”

Do you remember in the Bible how Zacchaeus was despised? It was supposed that the tax gatherers then had secret pockets into which they put their bribe money. At Christmas time I believe all over the world there are "secret pockets of charity" too, people doing generous kind things that no one knows about. These deeds are like lovely wild flowers blooming on the mountain, unnoticed and unknown, but still lovely!

You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your being, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this, You will love your neighbor as yourself.

Mark 12:30-31
