Challenge Camp: Happy learning and Explore more!

A different Challenge Camp amid pandemic

The Mustard Seed Mission holds Challenge Camp for disadvantaged children to learn and explore. Through team work and positive personal interaction, they learn to solve challenges and manage risks. With flexibility and proper guidance, disadvantaged children know more of oneself and explore more outside school.

This year, due to the sudden outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in Taiwan, the annual Challenge Camp was postponed. Before the summer ends, the epidemic has waned. For disadvantaged children we serve, the longest summer vacation has a wonderful ending with a 3-day-2-night challenge camp.

During the camp, the boys and girls discussed together quietly and calmly, older children lead younger children to try to express their opinions; every child participated happily and enthusiastically. Children learn to cooperate with each other, accept others' mistakes, and learn to see their own strengths.
The camp creates an environment for disadvantaged children to explore and learn more!

Lillian R. Dickson's Quotes

George Liu, our staff member, has returned from Papua-New Guinea, and his reports make us so happy that it is hard to sleep at night. God has wonderfully led us and protected us and helped, even as we pursued what to outsiders was a maverick way! You will remember that we wanted a school for girls. One of the men high up on the church staff said impatiently, "We won't be doing anything for girls for years," as if they were at the bottom of the totals pole. But we went stubbornly ahead and asked for a school for girls and the money came, and Nipa Trade School for Girls was established.

Photo Lillian Dickson, the founder of the Mustard Seed Mission, established “Burning Bush Mission” in 1968 and began to send indigenous pastors to South-East Asia. Following the service model in Taiwan, they opened schools to improve the local education in South-East Asia. The picture shows Lillian Dickson visiting the Women's Handicraft Center in NIPA, New Guinea, and sharing her interesting stories with students.

You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your being, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this, You will love your neighbor as yourself.
