The Reunion Dinner where Love Flows

“This is the first time I received a red envelope…”

Growing up in a single-parent family, Layla seldom has a chance to celebrate Chinese New Year nor receiving a red envelope before. Her father used the meager income of temporary workers to maintain the family’s livelihood. Seeing her father’s long-term job search rejection; Layla also gradually lost the self-confidence courage to face the crowd.

This year, it was the first time that Layla and her father participated in the "New Year Reunion Dinner" event organized by the MSM community service center. Receiving her first red envelope along with a blessing card, Layla feels the warmth and kindness in her heart.

Among the disadvantaged families served by the Mustard Seed Mission, there are too more vulnerable families as Layla's. Our company and care will make the children grow up without being alone.
We invite you to join the life-changing ranks of helping others and make this love flowing in the children’s hearts!

Lillian R. Dickson's Quotes

Don’t ever go to the leprosarium again

“Don’t ever go to the leprosarium again...”

When the mother of baby Joy became negative, she went to the Christian Herald Home for Women, the baby with her. After six months, still negative, she was ready to leave.
Lil gave her a piece of motherly advice. “Don’t ever go to the leprosarium again,” she said. “Don’t talk about it. Don’t even come to see me. Don’t do anything to connect your life with leprosy, not only for your sake, but for your child’s sake.”
Lil lifted Joy to her lap and held her close. You could not take a baby into your heart and let her slip out again without feeling an emptiness.
The woman married a Christian and had a happy home, Lil learned, when she came back once for a quick visit. Lil saw her occasionally on the street, Joy with her, now toddling along. But there was no sign of recognition. This, too, was the price of love.

You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your being, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this, You will love your neighbor as yourself.
